Description
Pheasant House is a house dating from the 17th century, which was refenestrated in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of rendered brick and features exterior gable stacks and a tiled roof. The house has a two-room plan and stands two storeys high with an attic, displaying a four-window range. Notable exterior details include rusticated quoins and a moulded brick eaves cornice. The right-of-centre doorway is flanked by pilasters and topped with a bracketed cornice, leading to a six-panel door. The windows are framed by mid-19th century flat architraves, sill blocks, and bracketed cornices, with 2/2-pane sashes that include margin panes. There are four gabled dormers with casements. At the rear, there is a single-storey service range. Inside, the house features a large hall with a 19th-century staircase on the right, which has curtail and stick balusters. The property also includes an attached front garden wall with capped piers.
