Description

A pair of attached houses, Numbers 52 and 54, originally built in the late 18th century and now used as offices. The houses are constructed of brick with stone dressings, have brick rear stacks, and a mansard roof.

They are each two storeys high, with an attic and a basement, and feature a single-window front. The raised ground floor sits above a rendered basement and has round-arched entry doorways with steps leading up to them. These doorways have painted fanlights and 20th-century panelled doors. The windows are sash windows with horns, featuring 6/6 panes to Number 52 and 12/12 panes to Number 54, along with 6-pane and 12-pane dormers. The basement has single windows with arched heads. The rear of the building features a catslide roof extending down below the two stacks.

Number 54 has been altered, and retains a dogleg staircase on the left side.

Attached spear-headed iron railings are present, leading up to the staircase of Number 52 and to the area and steps leading up to Number 54.
