Description

The building is an early cartshed dating from the 18th century, located to the east of Dean Farmhouse in Whitwell. It is constructed from stone rubble and features a slate roof. The structure has ashlar quoins, a deep plinth, and two tiers of ventilation slits on the end gable. The cartshed consists of four bays and is open-fronted, supported by square piers with weatherboarding above.
