Description
Dean Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the 18th century or earlier, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. It is constructed from coursed Isle of Wight stone rubble and features a slate roof with brick chimney-stacks. The building consists of two parallel ranges and has two storeys with three windows. The gable ends are adorned with kneelers, and there is a deep plinth. The front range includes 19th-century casements set in stone architraves, complete with keystones on the ground floor windows. A prominent mid-19th century two-storey gabled porch projects from the front, featuring fretted bargeboards with a pendant and finial. The porch has an arched doorcase and lancet windows on the side. To the left side of the rear range, there is an attached stone outbuilding, likely from the 18th century, which has a red brick chimney-stack and is probably a brewhouse.
