Description

Locks Farm is a house that was formerly a farmhouse, consisting of two sections. The northern part dates from the 18th century, while the southern part was built in the 19th century. The building is constructed from coursed rubble native to the Isle of Wight and features a thatched roof along with two brick chimneystacks. The northern section is two storeys tall and has three windows. It has a gable end with kneelers and tumbling in, primarily featuring casement windows, although there is one 2-light Gothick sash window on the ground floor. There is a gabled porch with fluted columns, which were likely added from another location. The southern part is a single storey made of coursed stone rubble and has two 4-light casements. Inside the original building, there is an 18th-century fireplace and a plain spine beam.
