Description

NEWPORT ROAD 1. 5270 Northwood Hope Cottage Fryers Cottage SZ 49 SE 6/78 II 2. Hope Cottage is an L-shaped C18 cottage. Ashlar, painted with tiled roof. Two storeys, 3 windows. Two 5-sided modern bays on both floors of tarred weatherboarding with casement windows. Between these is a C19 gabled porch with a round-headed window on the 1st floor above it. Fryers Cottage, which adjoins is an early C19 cottage. Two storeys cement rendered. Three casement windows. Gabled porch with modern corbel head.
