Description
Tarra House, formerly known as Northwood Rectory, is an 18th-century building located on Newport Road in Northwood. It is constructed of grey headers with red brick detailing around the windows, quoins, and three horizontal courses that run between the ground and first floors, each separated by a course of grey headers. There is a painted string course below these features. The house has a tiled roof and consists of two storeys with attics, featuring three windows and two modern gabled dormers. The glazing bars are missing. A 19th-century glazed porch is present, and at the south end of the building, there is a smaller cottage section with a lower elevation, which includes a window bay, a gabled dormer, and an S-shaped iron tie.
