Description

Nos. 86 and 88 Carisbrooke Road are a semi-detached pair of houses dating to around 1840. They are constructed of gault brick with a low-pitched hipped slate roof and projecting eaves. Each house has two windows, with the outer windows set within projecting hipped roof bays and flanked by brick pilaster strips. The windows are recessed and contain casements with original glazing bars, block sills, and flat brick arches. The ground floor features French windows with Venetian shutters within blind cases. The recessed front doors each have two fielded panels and a two-light overlight, set beneath a flat brick arch. A joint tent roof porch is supported by three wooden trellis pilasters and brackets.
