Description

This is a late 18th to early 19th century sailmaker's loft located to the northwest of the Bell Inn in West Cowes. The building is constructed of ashlar and has a hipped slate roof. It is three storeys high with five windows. A parapet with coping and a cornice runs along the top. There are five windows, and a hoist is positioned in the space of the sixth window. Cambered headed entrances are present on the ground floor. This is one of the few remaining early warehouses along the River Medina at Cowes.
