Description

These are a row of early 19th century cottages located on St John’s Road. The cottages are constructed of chequered brick with red brick dressings. They are two storeys high, with gable-ended slate roofs. Each cottage has one window, featuring sash windows with glazing bars in moulded, flush wooden frames. The windows are set within flat brick arches. Most of the cottages have recessed, partly glazed panelled doors, each with a simple doorcase featuring a bracketed hood. Numbers 81 and 83 are semi-detached with doors to the side. Numbers 57 to 83 (odd) form a group.
