Description

These are an early 19th century semi-detached pair of three-storey houses on St John’s Road. They are built of stucco, with rusticated quoins. The roofs are slate, with gables and bargeboards. Each house has one window to the front, with recessed sash windows and drip moulds above. The first-floor windows are bay windows of three lights, featuring intact glazing bars, plain strips, a frieze and cornice - the aprons have been modernised. The ground floor originally had French windows. A wooden verandah is present. The entrance bays are set back. The door to number 11 is modern; number 9 has a door with three fielded panels, one of which is glazed, set within a moulded case.
