Description
Orford Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed clunch with red brick dressings and features a thatched roof, which has a catslide to the rear and end brick chimneystacks. The building is single storey with attics.
The front of the cottage has a central doorway that is sheltered by a projecting 20th-century weatherboarded porch with a thatched roof. On either side of the doorway are single 2-light casement windows with cambered architraves. Above, there are two eyebrow dormers, each also featuring 2-light casements with cambered architraves similar to those on the ground floor. All windows are fitted with diamond pattern leaded glazing, which includes 20th-century coloured glass. To the left, there is a lower 20th-century extension that also has a thatched roof.
