Description

Thorncross is an early 19th-century farmhouse located in Brighstone. It is constructed from stone rubble, featuring some ironstone and quoins made of Bembridge stone. The building has a hipped slate roof with red brick chimneystacks and consists of two parallel ranges. It is two storeys high with three windows. The central windows are 12-pane sashes, while the others lack glazing bars and are framed by moulded wooden architraves and stone surrounds. A central stone and slate gabled weather porch is present, and there are tripartite sashes on the end elevation.
