Description
Sandbank is a house dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century, which was restored in the early 20th century. It is constructed of ironstone rubble and features a tiled roof with a modern brick chimneystack. The building has one storey and attics, with five windows in total. There are two 20th-century three-light dormers, three triple stone mullioned casements, and two single mullioned casements, all set under relieving arches. The doorcase is obtusely pointed, and there is a deep plinth. The gable ends have stone coping and kneelers. The right side gable is dated 1664 and includes a three-light mullioned window, while the left side gable features a two-light mullioned window. Attached to the left side is a one-storey ironstone outbuilding with a chimney, which is probably a brewhouse.
