Description
The Caretaker's House, built between 1900 and 1903 by Thomas Simpson, serves as the caretaker's residence for a nearby board school. Constructed from stock brick, it features bands of red brick and some stone dressings. The house has a tiled roof with central and end brick chimneystacks and stands two storeys tall. The left side of the building has a projecting gable at the front. The front elevation includes a triple cambered window on the first floor and a canted bay window on the ground floor. There is a doorcase at the angle of the building, topped with a flat hood supported by brackets, and it retains its original door. An external stack is positioned facing the school playground. The interior has not been inspected.
