Description

Numbers 11-15 Norfolk Square are a group of terraced houses dating from circa 1825. They are stucco-fronted, with roofs hidden behind a parapet. The houses are arranged over a basement, with four storeys each, except for Number 15, which has three. They have a three-window range each. The facades feature full-height, almost full-width, segmental bays. The ground floor is decorated with banded rustication. A flat-arched entrance, with decorative overlighting, is present at Numbers 11 and 12. All windows are flat-arched. Bracketed balconies are featured on the first floor, each with cast-iron railings, except for Number 14. A storey band runs between the floors. Numbers 11 and 12 retain sashes of their original design throughout, while Number 14 has them only on the first to third floors. A cornice runs along the top, but is absent on Number 11, which features a balustrade instead of a parapet over the second floor of Number 15. Chimney stacks are located in the party walls. The interior has not been inspected. Cast-iron railings with spearhead finials are present at the steps and area.
