GV II

Terraced house. Late C18 or early C19. 3 storeys and dormers over basement. One-window range. Stucco. Mansard roof of slate turnerised, the right side of which is nearly vertical. Shallow segmental bay to first and second floors; projecting cornice continuous across front above second floor. Bay runs up into parapet, which is broken by a dormer window, now much altered. To either side of the bay, at the party wall with No.5 (qv) and at the corner, a thin, giant panelled pilaster, that to the right having a laurel-wreath capital. Stacks to left party wall. INTERIOR: not inspected. This building forms a group with Nos 4, 5, and 7 Castle Square (qv).
