Description
Numbers 30-33 are a group of terraced houses built around 1825 in Brighton. They are constructed of stucco, with the original roofline hidden behind a parapet. The houses are three storeys high, with a basement, and each has a two-window frontage. The ground floor is decorated with banded rustication and features a flat-arched entrance with an overlight. All the windows are flat-arched, with those on the first floor having moulded stucco architraves, cornices supported on consoles, and individual cast-iron balconies. The second-floor windows also have moulded stucco architraves. A storey band separates the ground and first floors, while Ionic plasterwork decorates the areas flanking the first and second floors. The windows retain their original sash design and have margin lights. The façade is finished with an entablature and blocking course, and there are stacks built into the party walls. The interior of the houses has not been inspected. Cast-iron railings, topped with spearhead finials, run to the steps and area.
