Description
No. 38 Grand Parade is a terraced house dating from the early 19th century. It features a combination of stucco and painted brick, with a slate roof. The building stands four storeys high and has a two-window range. The ground floor has been altered to accommodate a late 20th-century hotel front. Above, there is a segmental bay on the first and second floors, which retains its original mullions, although the sashes have been replaced. To the left of the bay, there is a new window on each floor. The upper floor is flanked by pilasters and has fragments of a dentil cornice at the entablature. The building is topped with a parapet and dormers in the mansard roof, and there is a stack on the party walls. The interior has not been inspected.
