Description

The Walthamstow Civic Centre features a pair of flagpoles, constructed between 1937 and 1942 by P D Hepworth. These flagpoles are set in octagonal plinths, each consisting of a low Portland stone seat with a higher lead-covered core, decorated with chevrons. They were designed as an integral part of the Civic Centre.
