Description

Boathouse 2 is a boathouse built in 1916 by Augustine Alban Hamilton Scott for the Thorneycroft firm, which constructed fast launches for the Admiralty that carried torpedoes. It features a slipway that adjoins Nos 1 and 4. The structure is timber-framed and clad in zinc sheeting, topped with a cambered roof. It consists of 16 bays with a Belfast truss roof and a central skylight. Six of the roof trusses have been modified.
