Glen Cottage is a building with group value, originally one house combined with the Navigator's Cottage. It now consists of the central section of the original structure's left-hand wing which extends towards the rear. The main part is three stories high, two windows wide, with a single window in the top story. A central entrance door is set within an 18th-century doorcase, sheltered by a trellis porch. A lower, two-story wing is located to the left, containing one window.
