Description

Shepherd's Cottage is a building that was originally a pair of cottages, with a row of three later cottages at right angles, now converted into one dwelling. The older part of the structure likely dates from the 18th century and features a timber frame with weatherboarding and a pantiled roof. It has a three-window range with two-light small pane casements. The ground floor includes a row of five two-light casements that form a shop window, along with a modern boarded door and an internal stack. The later part of the building, from the mid-19th century, is constructed of red brick and also has a pantiled roof. Its north facade features a five-window range with two-light small pane casements and segmental arches, along with two boarded doors. The building is included for its group value.
