Description

Stone Cottage is an early 19th-century house located on the north side of Church Road in Great Glemham. The building is constructed of red brick, with the front faced in knapped flint and white brick dressings, topped with a pantiled roof. It stands two storeys high and features a symmetrical front with three windows, which are sashes with glazing bars set in cased frames and adorned with flat brick arches. The central doorway has a mid-20th-century glazed door with panelled reveals, a semi-circular fanlight with glazing bars, pilasters, and a broken pediment above. There is a brick band at the first-floor level and an eaves modillion cornice made of moulded brick. Gable end stacks are present, and there is a modern lean-to extension on the right-hand side.
