Description

The Privy Garden at Hampton Court, dating possibly from around 1700, features ten lead vases. These vases are decorated with gadrooning and have foliated handles topped with naked female figures. They also include a band of foliage with masks. The vases are set on Portland stone bases and are arranged along the terrace and on the stairways on either side.
