Description

The Privy Garden at Hampton Court features a sundial set upon a marble baluster-pedestal. This sundial bears the cypher of William III and was created by the renowned craftsman Thomas Tompion. A similar sundial and base can be found on the lawn in front of the Dutch House in the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew.
