Description

This listing describes a pair of large vases located on pedestals at each end of the terrace on the west front of Biddick Hall. These 18th-century lead vases are set on later stone pedestals. The terrace is approximately 45 meters long.

The pedestals feature cyma-moulded plinths, sunk panels on each face, and corniced tops. The vases are adorned with scrolled handles and floral festoons in relief. This pair of vases is included for its group value within the context of the surrounding architecture.
