Description
No 110 George Lane is a Neo-Georgian building dated 1905. It stands three storeys tall, featuring four windows facing George Lane and three on Marlborough Road. The entrance is located on a splayed corner. The building has a steeply pitched red tile roof with pedimented dormers and a prominent ornamental chimneystack that includes a blank panel. The ground floor and dressings are made of yellow stone, while the upper part is constructed of red brick with pilasters. A timber modillion cornice runs along the top. The first floor windows are adorned with architraves, and the second floor windows have flat gauged brick arches with keystones. The ground floor features wide arched windows with eaves architraves, and the door is set within a channelled arch. Above the door, the second floor window is flanked by carved stone garlands. The interior has been modernized.
