Description

This is a dovecote located adjacent to a pond to the southeast of The Canons in Mitcham, believed to date back to 1511. It is constructed from limestone, with some knapped flint and red brick quoins. The building features a plain tiled hipped roof that reaches the eaves and is a square, single-storey structure. The entrance is on the east side and has a depressed pointed cambered arch. The east face includes some flushwork, and the dovecote is windowless. There is a timber louvre on the roof. The interior has not been inspected.
