Description
Elm Lodge is a detached villa dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of stucco and has a low-pitched slate roof extending to the eaves. The house is two storeys high and features three bays facing Cricket Green. The design is symmetrical, with a central, square-headed entrance. This entrance is sheltered by a tented lead canopy supported by plain, reeded columns, with a painted wooden valance, and has half-glazed doors. The ground floor windows are square-headed and architraved, with sash windows and glazing bars. A bowed return is present on the left side of the building. The eaves are finished with open brackets. The house remains largely unaltered and is a noticeable feature of London Road and Cricket Green.
