Description

This milestone, dating from the 18th century, is located on the west side of London Road in Mitcham, opposite Elm Lodge. It is made of Portland stone and has a square shape with a pyramidal top. The inscription on the milestone reads: 'Whitehall 8 1/2 miles'.
