Description

Chestnut Cottage is a detached house dating from the 18th century, with some alterations. It features a timber framed lath and plaster construction that is rendered, topped with a tiled double pitched roof that has a parapet. The house is two storeys high and three windows wide. At the center, there is a projecting porch supported by fluted Ionic columns. The windows are square headed with moulded surrounds, and they are sashes with glazing bars. The entrance has a six-panelled door, and there are tall chimneys at the gable ends.
