Description

A row of cottages dating from the mid to late 19th century, located within a planned development of Belvedere Square. The row comprises numbers 13 and 22-26 of Church Road. The cottages are constructed of polychrome brick with tall Welsh slate roofs, featuring hip ends to the east and cross-gabled ends to the west. Number 13, situated on a corner, has a prominent stack on its west return. The windows are casements set beneath pointed relieving arches. A dormer breaks the eaves.

The cottages at numbers 22 and 24 are two storeys and three bays, with an irregular layout, featuring a ground floor canted bay with a cogged cornice and a hipped slate roof. Number 13 also has a ground floor canted bay with a cogged cornice. Numbers 22 and 24 have paired doors set back behind pointed arched, hooded wooden screens. Low brick forecourt walls are present.

Further cottages within the Belvedere Square development include numbers 4-12, 17-31, and 16-20 of Church Road.
