This building, located at 70, 70A, and 70B High Street in Wimbledon, is a former fire station that dates back to 1890 and is now used as shops. It features red brick construction and a steeply pitched tiled roof that reaches the eaves. The structure is two storeys high and has two main bays facing the High Street, each topped with a gable. These bays are separated by a three-stage clock tower, which includes an arched open bell stage topped with a copper cupola. The ground floor has 20th-century shop fronts, except for the base of the tower, which features an arched entrance with a tented canopy and a panelled door. The upper floor has square-headed windows with three-light casements, which include glazing bars and an arch motif on the central light. On the right side, the gable sweeps down to ground floor level, where there is a circular window with glazing bars. This building serves as an important focal point in the village.
