Description
The King's College School War Memorial features a bronze sculpture of a nude male youth, who is looking upwards with his hands raised. In his left hand, he holds a laurel wreath symbolizing Victory. The sculpture is positioned on a cylindrical Grecian pedestal, which has an urn-like top adorned with carvings of dentils and acanthus leaves. The pedestal includes five panels that list the names of the Fallen in alphabetical order. At the base, there is a tablet with a relief of a laurel wreath, above which is an inscription in Greek that translates to: "Theirs is the prize of fair-garlanded death."
