Description
Number 12 Victoria Road is a mid-19th century building that stands three storeys tall and has two bays. The ground floor features an elaborate shop front dating from around 1900, with plate glass shop windows adorned with Art Nouveau tracery in hardwood. Above the shop front, there is a cornice topped with wrought iron scroll work that frames an oval medallion. The first and second floors are faced with brick and are flanked by stuccoed pilasters that support an entablature with a bracketed cornice and a low-pedimented blocking course. The windows have stucco surrounds, with those on the first floor featuring bracketed cornices. The central portion of the building is longer, but the right side has been partially demolished, leaving two mutilated windows on the left.
