Description
Nos 124 and 126 on Maple Road are early 19th-century houses that stand two storeys high with a basement. They are finished in painted stucco and are identical to each other. Each house features three sash windows on the upper floor. The main floor has rusticated walls and two segmental stucco bows. There is a central Ionic porch that is accessed by a flight of six stone steps with iron railings. A cornice runs along the top of the porch and the tops of the bays. In front of the bows, there is a stone-based balcony with elaborate ironwork. The basement bows also have sash windows. The houses are topped with a slate roof that has hips on both sides and plain overhanging eaves. Notably, No 126 has blind boxes on its upper windows.
