Description
No. 11 Lower Square is an early 19th-century house with a stucco façade that incorporates elements from the 18th century. The building stands three storeys high, featuring a rusticated ground floor. The entrance porch is supported by two Roman Doric columns and pilasters, topped with a simple architrave, plain frieze, and cornice. There are three sash windows; the ground floor windows have rusticated flat arches with keys. The central window on the first floor is adorned with a cornice and pediment on consoles, while the windows on either side have cornices, segmental hoods, and consoles. The second floor windows are framed with stucco architraves and flat cornice hoods with consoles. Both the first and second floors are accentuated by four giant pilasters and a simple entablature. The rear elevation features 19th-century bay windows. Inside, the property includes a panelled entrance hall and original staircases, with additional panelling found throughout.
