Description
No. 173 Loughborough Road is an early 19th-century stucco house that stands two storeys tall. The façade features three windows with moulded stucco architraves that have dog-ears, and the windows themselves are sashes with glazing bars. There are decorative bands running along the building. A projecting rectangular porch is supported by Roman Doric columns and topped with a heavy entablature. The house has a blocking course and cornice, and it is capped with a slate hipped roof. At each end of the building, there are elliptical arch carriageways with panelled doors, above which is a blind window set in a moulded architrave that continues the cornice and band.
