Description

No. 8 Upper Square is an 18th-century house with evidence of 17th-century origins, located in Isleworth. The building has been altered in the 19th century and features a machine tile roof and three storeys. The front elevation is rendered and decorated with "half-timbered" ornamentation and includes a plinth. The left section of the house has a small pediment and a semi-circular lunette set in a recess on the top storey. There is a 2-light flat arched window on the first floor, while the ground floor has a shop front with a door and two steps. The right section features an eaves cornice and three windows with flat arches, wood architraves, sashes, and 19th-century glazing bars. The ground floor shop front has two steps leading to a modern door.
