Description
No. 21 Chiswick High Road is a house dating from around 1830 to 1840. It is constructed of brown brick with a stucco rusticated ground floor and a cornice and parapet. The house is three storeys high with a basement. The first and second floors have four giant composite pilasters which support a cornice with a modified pediment and four finials. A first-floor iron balcony, featuring an anthemion motif, is present. A four-light window has an architrave with modified pilasters, an entablature, and a pediment, all featuring original glazing bars. The modern front door is fitted with glass panels and a fan with a keystone, while the ground floor features modern glazing.
