Description
The White Horse Public House is a long building dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century, located on Church Hill in Harefield. It has two storeys and features eight bays, with four alternate windows that are now blocked. The building has a high-pitched tiled roof and painted brick walls, which are adorned with a brick dentil cornice. The windows are primarily small-paned two-light casements, with the exception of two sash windows with glazing bars on the ground floor; one of these is located in a lean-to projection in the second bay from the left. In the second bay from the right, there is a modern gabled porch, along with a similar entrance added at the right angle of a pent projection. To the right, there is a weather-boarded lean-to extension, and some timber framing is visible above it, including a queen post roof truss made of rather thin scantling.
