Description
Nursery Cottage at Church Gardens Nursery is a remnant of an outbuilding from a larger house that is now lost. It dates back to the 17th century but features a west wall from the late 18th or early 19th century. This wall consists of four bays of two-storey blank arcading made of pinkish brick, with store impost blocks. There are two modern windows inserted into this wall. The roof is hipped and covered with modern tiles. Behind the west wall, 17th-century brickwork is visible. The two-bay east front has brickwork that appears to be from the late 18th or early 19th century, with horizontal sliding sashes above and double-hung sashes below, both featuring glazing bars. There are carriage doors in the weatherboarded right section.
