Description
Number 69 on Lee Road is an early to mid-19th century house, part of a pair. It has two storeys and features one window in the main block and another in a flush right extension beneath a gable. The house has a low-pitched roof that has been renewed with pantiles and is constructed from multicoloured stock brick. The windows have gauged brick flat arches, with the first-floor windows being later casements that include glazing bars, while the ground-floor windows are original sashes also with glazing bars. The reveals are lined with wood, and there are wrought iron balconies at the ground-floor windows. The front door consists of six panels, four of which are glazed, and it is topped with a cornice head and a rectangular fanlight, all set within a flat entablature surround. This building is noted for its proximity to number 71. The group includes numbers 63 to 89 (odd).
