Description

Nos 87 and 89 on Lee Road are an early to mid-19th century pair of houses. Each building has two storeys and a basement, featuring one window in the central section and one in the lower, set-back entrance sections. They have low-pitched, hipped slate roofs with eaves soffits. The exterior is stuccoed, with rebated angles and a central recess. The sash windows have glazing bars, with the first-floor windows set in moulded architraves topped with console-bracketed cornices. The ground-floor windows are three-light, surrounded by shallow entablatures. Both houses have six-panel doors with cornice heads and rectangular fanlights, all within entablature surrounds. It is noted that the basement window of No 89 has been altered. Nos 63 to 89 (odd) form a group.
