Description
This is a row of twelve terraced houses, numbers 1 to 12, located on Park Vista in SE10. The first six houses (numbers 1-6) were built in the second quarter of the 19th century, while the remaining six (numbers 7-12) are slightly later, dating to around 1840. Numbers 1 to 6 are each three storeys high with a basement, and feature two windows to the front. They are constructed of multicoloured stock brick with a parapet. The roofs have a moderate pitch and have been renewed with galvanised asbestos. Sash windows are set within gauged flat brick arches; the first-floor windows of number 2 have been enlarged. The doorways are round-headed, recessed within a round arch. They contain six-panel doors, each with a reeded cornice head and a plain fanlight. Houses 7 to 12 are taller, also built of multicoloured stock brick, but feature a stuccoed parapet and lack a cornice. A stucco band runs along the first-floor cills. The sash windows are set within gauged, flat brick arches. The doors are six-panelled, except for the door at number 8, which is half-glazed. Numbers 10 and 11 have patterned fanlights. All doorways are round-headed and recessed within a round arch. Number 12 has a later addition of a canted bay window on the ground floor and a small, set-back entrance extension to the left. Numbers 1 to 12 form a cohesive group.
