Description

The Southall War Memorial, made of Portland stone with a York stone base, is situated outside the Manor House in Southall. It features a cenotaph that stands nearly 4 meters high, resting on a three-stepped base. The front face of the cenotaph is inscribed with the words: "IN GRATEFUL / MEMORY OF OUR / LOCAL HEROES / WHO GAVE / THEIR LIVES IN / THE GREAT WAR / 1914 – 1918 / 1939 – 1945." The bottom step includes an enclosure made of metal posts and a chain link fence.
