Description
Kingswood Lodge, also known as Kingswood Country Club, is an early 18th century double pile house. It is constructed of brick, pebbledashed, and colourwashed, standing two storeys tall. The facade features a symmetrical arrangement of two-one-two sash window bays with pilaster strips between them. There is a later single-storey porch added to the building. The roof is a slated gambrel style, complete with three dormers.
On the east front, there are five regular bays, with two later canted bay windows on the ground floor and five sash windows above. The central entrance features a door with a round-headed fan-light, framed by a fine early 18th century door surround that has an open pediment supported by Doric columns. The roof has end stacks, including one large stack located in the roof valley. Additionally, there is a two-storey lean-to extension on the north side.
