Description

The Dairy at College Farm is a building constructed in 1883, designed by Frederick Chancellor. It features a red brick exterior and a double pyramid roof covered with plain tiles that extends to the eaves. The building has a double square plan with splayed corners. At the center, there is a cambered headed entrance with half glazed double doors, and the windows are also cambered. The roof is supported above the splayed corners by ornate timber brackets and includes a timber lantern topped with a tiled crown on each pyramid. Inside, there is decorative tile work. This dairy is an integral part of the Express Dairy Company's pioneering model farm.
