Description

No. 7 Farm Walk is a pair of houses built in 1910, designed by Barry Parker and Raymond Unwin. It shares the same range of materials and finishes as Nos. 217 and 219, with which it forms a pair. The building is two storeys high and features elements of an angled block that reflect those found on Nos. 217 and 219. It has a stair tower and a four-window hall range, with a facing gable that has a two-window range. This gable is turned at the corner to create a transition to Farm Walk. The entrance to No. 7 Farm Walk is located under a canopied porch at the rear corner of the facing gable's return. Above the entrance, there are two hipped half dormers in the two-window range. There is a level change to a short wing that leads to Farm Walk. The architects have effectively revealed more of the crosswing to Farm Walk on the west side, creating coherence at a challenging transition point. The elevation of No. 7 forms a group with Nos. 1-6 Farm Walk.
